When you join the AARC, you not only receive all of the great benefits that AARC membership has to offer (click here to review them all), but you receive membership in the PSRC at no additional charge!!  PSRC membership provides you with even more value by providing you benefits that fall into multiple categories including Education, Advocacy and Fun!

Education
The PSRC offers the most continuing educational programs for Respiratory Therapists in the state and our members ALWAYS receive a discount on registration for these events.  In addition to our two large Eastern and Western Regional Conferences, we offer annual educational events in Erie and Harrisburg.  We also offer multiple other regional events throughout the state including areas such as Philadelphia, Abington, Scranton/Wilkes Barre and more! 


State Advocacy and Awareness

State Representation

The PSRC employs the highly respected Winter Group, a Governmental Affairs and Management consulting firm who work for you and your patients in Harrisburg.  In addition, the firm helps the PSRC leadership plan strategies for introducing legislation and influencing regulatory activities on reimbursement issues, research projects, consumer protection, smoking laws -- anything affecting the provision of quality respiratory care.

Public Relations
The PSRC represents respiratory therapists to the media, other organizations, the general public, and the health care industry.  We frequently communicate with the PA State Board of Medicine, the State Board of Osteopathic Medicine, the Hospital Association of Pennsylvania, and many more professional associations around the state.

PSRC Special Events

Since 2006 when the PSRC began putting the FUN back into our association by holding some special events like the PSRC Day @ Camel Beach Waterpark and a PSRC Night at the Philadelphia Phillies game.  These "members only" events allowed our members to bring their families and friends for a day/night of fun...at a discounted rate!  Since that time, we've continued offering these events and continue to offer discounted tickets to PSRC Nights at the Flyers hockey games; discounted tickets to themeparks, discounted tickets to several theater events, and more!
