Stephen M. Biehl is an experienced healthcare professional with a strong academic and clinical foundation in exercise physiology, complemented by advanced specialization in Bronchoscopy and Pulmonary Function Services.

 

As the Supervisor of Bronchoscopy, Pulmonary Rehab, and Pulmonary Function at Temple Health, Stephen leads a multidisciplinary team, manages daily clinical operations, and ensures the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centered respiratory diagnostics and procedures.  Beginning his career in exercise physiology, Stephen developed deep expertise in cardiopulmonary assessment, stress testing, and human performance evaluation. This background provides him with a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular and respiratory function—an advantage he brings to bronchoscopy, pulmonary diagnostics, and clinical decision-making.
 

Stephen is also an accomplished educator and presenter. He has served as a speaker at local, state, and national conferences, sharing insights on pulmonary diagnostics, bronchoscopy workflows, respiratory physiology, and best practices in clinical care. In addition to his clinical and leadership responsibilities, Stephen contributes to community health initiatives. He serves as a board member of the American Lung Association’s Philadelphia Fight for Air Committee, supporting advocacy, awareness, and fundraising efforts that advance lung health and research.
