Respiratory Therapist Openings
Full-time, Part-Time and Per Diem opportunities available in all locations!

Job Summary: 
Respiratory Therapists at Lehigh Valley Health Network are an integral member of the healthcare team, utilizing expertise, respiratory protocols and state-of-the-art technology to care for critically ill patients in our pulmonary, cardiac, medical/surgical, burn and open heart adult critical care units, as well as in our expanding pediatric and neonatal critical care units.



Minimum Requirements: 

  • AS degree from a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).

  • One year of appropriate respiratory care experience in an acute care facility within the past two years.

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

  • NEW GRADUATES may apply if holding the CRT credential and taking the NBRC Clinical Simulation Exam (to earn RRT credential) within 1 month of hire. New Hires will have 1 month to obtain RRT credential. 

  • Basic computer skills.



Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current Pennsylvania License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required. 

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing by the National Board for Respiratory Care required. 

  • Current BLS Health Care Provider within 1 month of employment. 

  • ACLS/PALS within 9 months of employment. 

  • All pediatric/neonatal practitioners need to obtain their STABLE and NRP within 9 months of employment. 

  • All Medical / Surgical therapists need to obtain their AE-C within 9 months of employment.

  • Neonatal-Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential from the NBRC for all pediatric/neonatal practitioners within 9 months of employment.


Influenza vaccination is required at most LVHN facilities for all colleagues with patient contact unless medically contraindicated or due to a bonafide religious belief or practice, and is strongly encouraged for all colleagues.
