Larry Mann AS, RRT
Lawrence F. Mann, 70, of Pine Grove, passed away Monday June 6, 2016 at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, with his wife, Susan A. Barr, by his side as they celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on the same day of his passing.
Larry was born in Brooklyn, Nov. 7, 1945 he graduated from Stamford High School, Stamford, Conn., in 1963. In 1972, he received an associate degree in science from York College and graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Respiratory Therapy, Lancaster. Prior to attending college, Larry served as a Navy corpsman from 1965 to 1969 during the Vietnam War.
Larry was an respiratory therapist in the clinical arena for over forty years and was well known for his stellar clinical care and compassion. Over the years, he held various positions in the Respiratory Care profession including serving as the Director of Respiratory Care at both Ephrata Hospital and Lehigh Valley Hospital where he was honored in 2004 by Advance Magazine for Respiratory Care as the "Best Manager" in their National Respiratory Achievement Awards competition.
Larry will be missed by everyone he touched.
