Job Title: Operations Manager – Pulmonary Services

Status/Shift: Full-Time / Day Shift

 

Job Overview:

Under general supervision, manages and coordinates daily inpatient or outpatient activities to ensure quality patient care, cost effectiveness and customer service. Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory standards.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluates and recommends treatment and reporting methods for the department.

  2. Consults with medical, nursing and administrative staff on a regular basis to coordinate patient care.

  3. Monitors financial and clinical performance indicators. Acts or recommends action to improve performance in deficient areas.

  4. Assists the director of pulmonary with strategic planning for the respective entity (inpatient or outpatient). Acts or recommends action for implementation of goals.

  5. Identifies patient/client needs and develops quality programs to meet those needs. Ensures delivery of quality services for patients.

  6. Ensures that appropriate standards and practices are developed and met.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Master’s Degree preferred 

  • Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT), Adult Critical Care Specialty (ACCS), Asthma Educator-Certified (AE-C), Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS), Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty (NPS), etc.

  • Other combinations of formal education, training and experience may be considered.

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
