You may have been following the emerging news story of an alarming high number of COVID-19 illnesses and deaths occurring in nursing homes across the country. Of course this is disturbing to hear and we share in the grief caused by this pandemic. However, the high prevalence of illness and death has not been the case at our facilities.
At Fox Subacute, we were the first to restrict visitation, the first to issue N95 masks to staff, the first to initiate precautions on “at risk” patients and the first, to offer rapid antibody testing (results in 2 hours) for staff and patients.
