Respiratory Therapists

Christiana Care's Respiratory Care Department provides service for both Christiana and Wilmington hospitals. Respiratory Therapists provide service to all areas of the hospital as part of a specialized team including adult and infant critical care units, medical-surgical floors and emergency care.  The Department has been awarded the AARC Quality Respiratory Care Recognition award each year since 2003! Only about 15 percent of hospitals nationwide earn this award for relying on specially-trained therapists to deliver respiratory services and following other national standards recommended by the association.
