RT 2 Staff Therapist
The Respiratory Therapist Level 2 (RT 2) is a clinically competent practitioner of respiratory care. The RT 2 at this level administers respiratory care modalities and performs routine care with minimal guidance, and bases practice on physician orders, established policies and procedures.

Licenses and Credentials
Successful completion of the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) examination, administered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Successful completion of the Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) examination, administered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), within two years of date of hire.
A valid license to practice respiratory care in Pennsylvania.
Current Basic Life Support certification.
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program or Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
An Associate’s degree is required
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Prior respiratory care experience is required.
